Red Is The Colour

You say you wanted, but now you won't
"That was before. Who cares? I don't"
A common thing in politics
Where truth is hid with dirty tricks
It'll make you think of a better place
Where people live as a single race
Have food to eat and shelters too
Someone to talk to when feeling blue

It's a mixed up world with lots of flaws
Regulations and unfair laws
Compassion; love was lost somewhere
But does it matter - who will care
About those who stand there lookin' in?
When born to lose, you just can't win

A change is all we need right now
A revolution to tell us how
We all went wrong and fucked it up
How problems pour from a filled up cup
and pool up where foundations stand
To spread 'cross homes and foreign lands

So keep your change or spend it well
Help the sick to live to tell
A tale of freedom; a tale of hope
In which all grows on verdant slopes
And so hereafter; furthermore
Keep in mind some need it more
- Than you do now or ever will -
To feed a child or pay a bill
